At Mustard Seed Farm we’ve got a great team of animal advocates working together to rescue vulnerable pets and farm animals.
Our Board Members
Jennifer Powers: Our leader, and the one with the vision, Jennifer works tirelessly to rescue both domestic animals and farm animals in need. She’s a strong leader and a tireless advocate for animals who can’t speak for themselves. Jennifer owns and manages the farm, where she spends her days caring for those unable to care for themselves.
Janice Thompson: An avid dog-lover, Janice is passionate about saving canines! She is passionate about the ones that so often get overlooked–seniors, dogs with health issues and disabilities, and those who are otherwise unplaceable. Janice is an author of over 100 books for the Christian market and loves to help the rescue with marketing, website needs, and more.
Annie Pettit: Annie has been in the animal rescue biz for more than 30 years. Her heart for underdogs is evident to all who know her. She’s amazing at networking and we’re so thrilled to have her on the team.
Brittany Atkinson: Board member and owner of her own 501c3 ministry, Relentless Love, Brittany has a heart for people and animals, particularly dogs. She’s a welcome addition to the board, where her years of expertise running a ministry come in handy.
Kimberly Lafon: Kimberly is with Flying Pigs Sanctuary and has been a huge asset! Mustard Seed Farm currently houses over 50 pigs. Kimberly has been rescuing animals and caring for them on her small farm for almost two decades. She’s provided a forever home for dogs, cats, horses, pigs, sheep, reptiles, rabbits, birds, and any other critters that wandered in and we’re grateful to have her on the team.
